Purchasing/Administrative Assistant
Title:Purchasing/Administrative Assistant


This role will work directly with our Purchasing Department for the first six months of employment. Thereafter, the role will include Administrative tasks for our corporate office. Assist Purchasing, Operational Groups and Pre-Construction with special projects and perform administrative duties. Act as the backup to reception, greet clients and visitors, direct callers to the appropriate departments. Assist HR department as needed. Must be able to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.


Purchasing Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Place purchase orders
  • Enter all purchase orders into the computer system for electrical and mechanical groups
  • Handle all problem invoices from payables for electrical group
  • Distribution of completed purchase orders and packing lists of materials
  • File all purchase orders
  • Other tasks as assigned

Administrative Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office duties such as making copies, filing documents, processing mail, and answering phones
  • Provide assistance to executives, group and contract managers
  • Assist in payroll time entry for respective groups
  • Type and create various documents and reports as needed
  • Plan and execute lunches, meetings, and travel
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Act as back up to reception as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned



  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Administrative role and/or a college degree
  • Purchasing or Construction experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Suite programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
